Girl Now Woman Later is looking for a volunteer program coordinator to coordinate our outreach and volunteer/internship program.

This volunteer opportunity will require excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Volunteer work is virtual and flexible!

Why Girl Now Woman Later?

Mission: Girl Now Woman Later is on a mission to educate girls about menstrual health and reduce period shame. GNWL also works to increase the graduation rate for middle school and high school girls in Burkina Faso. We strongly believe that an educated girl will develop into an emancipated woman.

Vision: A world in which a girl’s education is not abandoned or taken away because of her gender, where she can freely pursue her education, become skilled at anything she desires, still be a girl, and grow into a woman.

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Connecting the organization with potential partners, improving the organization’s visibility, and building lasting relationships.

● Coordinating volunteer activities, projects, and initiatives; guiding volunteers’ work on presentations and reports; and ensuring volunteer projects align with the organization’s mission/its partners’ missions.

● Tracking, documenting, and reporting on community outreach and engagement activities.

● Working with the marketing and digital media teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding

● Providing regular updates to management on outreach activities and progress towards goals.

● Identifying opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships.

● Preparing memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other communications, and scheduling and coordinating meetings.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience with community outreach and/or public relations

● Excellent organizational and project management skills

● Superb written and verbal communication skills

● Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

● Proficiency in MS Office and social media

● Knowledge of nonprofit and community resources

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field a plus.
